Picea breweriana is a narrow endemic, occurring only in mountains in far northern California and Southern Oregon. It has been called a Pleistocene relict - It was likely more widespread 20,000 years ago but as the climate has warmed up and dried out it has become stuck in refugia such as narrow canyons at higher elevations. This was originally filmed in 2015 and I was not yet recording videos of any substance or length yet, but I was always fascinated with this species. It is a beautiful weeping spruce with a narrow range.
