Retire Happy!

@jamell5511

3% inflation is low? But you say $2500 for social security which is almost $1k higher than the average. People please do your research. Too many blanket statements. Everyone’s situation is unique. Pensions, tax assessments, social security, where you live, how you live, rate of assumed returns. Without knowing any of this information, no one can tell you if YOU have enough to retire or not.

As far as 401k’s go. They are NOT all equal. Some have good investment options. Some don’t. Some have Roth options. Some don’t. So to say contribute as much as you can to your 401k is also a poor blanket statement. Contributions up to the company match at least would have made more sense to get a guaranteed return on your investment. After that, determine what the best investment vehicle for the rest of your money.

Just my opinion

How can you say all this without knowing my expenses
