@archipelago93

I’m glad S&W didn’t abandon the platform!

@ryanscott717

I'm glad they fixed the CSX. I owned the original and didn't love it, but the concept was definitely cool. They could have used it as a reason to say nobody wants an SAO carry gun and move on, but they didn't. They fixed the issues. Very cool, S&W

@brandongreen18

Thanks to you and La Rae for the reviews. Nice to hear that this one is significantly improved over the original. Hammer-fired micro guns are criminally scarce.

@DarlingEbony

I'm glad Mrs. Outlaw is having carry thoughts about this. I am a huge Smith & Wesson fan.

@troygilliland9485

I am one of the 2 people who actually likes the original CSX. Until everyone told me about the false reset issue, I didn't notice it. I like the fact that they updated it, but now I've got to buy another.

@keithcox3350

Bought the original CSX, probably a year after release. By that time the trigger seemed to have been fixed? I like mine. Glad to see that S&W stayed with the platform. Thanks for the review, as always!

@user-me6dx6xk1g

The Smith & Wesson research department has been working overtime

@jeremypike9153

I own the first version of the csx and have carried it daily since it was released. Mine never suffered the false trigger reset that the one you tested did. I have never had a failure of any sort out of my csx nothing has broken and it has eaten every ammo run through it. The CSX I believe would surprise pretty much anyone who gets to shoot it. I love the way the action functions on the gun. You can chamber and empty the chamber with the safety still engaged unlike a 1911 and the capacity is greatly improved over a 1911. Mine is incredibly accurate for the size as well. Anyone who has shot it has been impressed with the size vs capacity the low recoil impulse and the accuracy of it. Did they run out and buy it? No i think a hammer fired gun is generally looked down on by most people these days as antiquated technology versus something like the shield plus sig p365 Springfield hellcat or even a glock 43. I just bought a S&W bodyguard 2.0 and i must say the action on the csx feels like butter compared to the bodygaurd. I was actually impressed that the bodygaurd ran without issues after working the slide on the gun. It did not feel like it was going to. There is also a noticeable spring pressure difference between working the slide on the csx and pretty much any other gun ive run the same size. If you dont have a lot of hand strength or working the slide is an issue for you the csx is definitely something to consider over the other guns.

@andyrihn1

I think a lot of the bad reviews of the original version overblew how bad the trigger was but the whole point of a single action carry gun is the trigger so I'm glad yhey improved it

@diversify210

Its just a nice to see s&w stick with the external hammer fire in this modern world where striker fire pistols dominate the market.

@ScreaminpirateEDC

As someone who loved the CZ Rami for a long time, this is very very interesting to me.

@WastdTrashPanda

I have an original CSX and I have no problem with the trigger reset. I love the little gun.

@2greeksandacamera

We liked the first CSX so well we bought two. The trigger is SUPER FINE for those who are not in the “striker-fire induced habit”of riding the trigger to reset.

@frostytreats6680

I want 1. These feel really good in the hand. It's unreal how they fit 12 rounds in that little mag. Sat my 13 round mag next to it and the smith mag was 1 round less capacity but was almost an in and a half shorter.

@abelacosta7200

I think the CSX line is underrated. I really like how it feels in hand. Has a 1911 feel to it. I’d like to see a full size model. It would prolly be too heavy for carry but it would still be a great home defense gun. Awesome video bro

@saodavi6267

Very gentlmanly of you to let Mrs. Outlaw have first crack at this over on her channel.

@ryanrawlins

I passed on the first one because of your review most of all. I’ve waited on this until I saw your review. Saw your wife’s review first and it’s impressive.

@jameslee6001

I really like the way Smith & Wesson is not sitting back and resting on it’s laurels, with almost every other manufacturer plowing full speed ahead Smith seems to be moving forward as fast or faster than it’s competitors. It’s a great time to be a S & W fan.

@dominicpecoraro6074

I have the original csx and a performance center shield+ i carry the original CSX over the shield because of the size to ammo capacity ratio. I have no trigger issues, theyre great guns. I will be buying this before the new comp shield.

@StormbornJKU

Seems like a pretty decent darn pistol. I recently got a S&W M&P 2.0 compact for my wife and she loves it and honestly I enjoy it as well. Smith is making some good stuff and I bet this is pretty darn good too. Thanks!
